Costco Saves My Day

October 7, 2012

Good morning on this cool, sunny Sunday.  There is a definite nip in the air, and it's going to be here all week.  Probably, temps will just keep going down from here on.  Pretty soon, I'll be doing the countdown till Spring.

I ran into a problem trying to mount and mat my entries for next month's competition.  Where I can't get new prints in time for Tuesday, I thought I would use the prints that I have already framed.  However, they have my initials in the lower corner, and that is not allowed in a competition.  I thought I could cover this up, but I can't.

UPDATE:  I took a little break here, and called the local Costco store.  They have a photo department, and Yes, Yes, Yes!  They can make me prints which I can pick up later today or tomorrow.  So I went online and set up an account, then uploaded my photos for printing.  Whew!  I'm one very happy camper now!

The Mrs and I were talking about the competition last night, and during our conversation she mentioned that she would like a copy of my deer print for Christmas.  Well now, that makes it easy for me.  That's another gift I can cross off my holiday "to do" list.

The Mrs is one of my biggest fans as far as photography goes.  She doesn't understand why I'm not selling lots of prints and making big bucks.  You gotta love her for that.

Now I have a pretty photo to share with you.  On my way home from work this morning, I pulled over to the side of the road to get a few photos of the beautiful colors at a local cemetery.  Isn't this a pretty sight?

I also have another of those funny photos that my friend Rhoda sent to me.  This one is for all you cat lovers.

Now I think I should crawl into bed and have a nap.  Tonight is another work night.  It's supposed to rain later today, and I'm hoping it won't be as heavy as it was last night on my way to work.  Most of the trip I could barely see the road in front of me.  The rain was coming down so heavy, and it lasted close to half an hour.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Wonderful you were able to get your pics printed in time!
Hope Jan and I can find a day he is;t working all day, or early afternoon and perhaps we can go for a little walk and then perhaps I can take a few autumn pics.
We'll see how his schedule will be this week.
Have a dry day LOL!

So happy Costco saved you, hope the competition goes in your direction. This tree is so GORGEOUS, wish we had colorful tree changes like up in NE areas, but alas, it is usually, green, yellow, brown, gone here! The types of trees are different too. The only reddish or orange are the Bradford Pear trees here and the change from one day to next, then gone too! These are breathtaking colors! The cat photo just cracks me up...love it! Have a beautiful day! Hugs, Mat

Very funny cat picture. Lovely fall colors in that tree. The desert doesn't provide such a show - it has it's own beauty but there's nothing like the fall colors of the north.
