Happy Autumn!

September 21, 2012

Good morning on this sunny but nippy morning.  Fall begins today, and you can feel that it is definitely here.  I'm still at work and I thought I would post a bit before the Mrs wakes up.   Well, it will be a short post because she just called.

I don't have any photos to share yet, but I now have another great grandbaby.  Mac and Audrey are the proud grandparents of Alena Marie McLain, born this past Tuesday.  Congratulations!!  This is their second grandchild.

That's about it for the news.  I did manage to submit one of my photos in a competition at the camera club.  I don't know when the competition is, but the deadline for entries was midnight last night.  I'll post more when I get more information.

Before they are all gone, I thought I would share a photo of some of the pink butterfly bushes here.  I think they are so much prettier than the lavender ones.

I had an article that I wanted to share with you, but first I have to figure out how to upload it in such a way that you can see it.  I'll most likely have to re-type it.  Oh well, not today.

I think the Mrs has dozed off again, but I have to go check to be sure.  If she's till awake, she'll be wanting her breakfast.  So, it's off to work for me.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

good morning, hope you are ready for you Saturday off...have fun and enjoy the day! A little on the warm side again for today (95) but no wind to stir up the ragweed. My back is still acting up so no long standing or sitting for a few more days until I get back to see the Dr. again next week. I just hate that I can't sit and scrap when I am really in the mood to...LOL! You and Pogo enjoy the day and weekend! Hugs, Mat

Good morning, Edna!

It’s a cloudy day in St. Louis, so I get to catch up on some blogs while David seeps in!

Your camera club sounds similar to the train group w go to in fall and winter, except there are many subjects. I’d like to try tat portfolio project but challenge myself to a different subject than trains and cats.

We’ve seen some hints at color in the trees in western Illinois, where we’ve spent most of our trip so far. I’ll be showing off a few shots on my blog when we get home. The last time we were in St. Lois it was HOT; 100 degrees, now it’s long sleeves and chilly. Yeesh!

You know when I read your comment about living so close to the train tracks I was thing about the retirement thoughts David and I mentioned just a couple days ago; someplace in walking distance of a busy train area where we could just watch them after our travel and photo days were over. LOL to each his own, huh? hehe

I need to sign off now. I hate the keyboard on my laptop. At home I have a regular keyboard I use; I type a lot more then!

Until I’m back,
Hugs, Nani
