Good Morning September!

September 1, 2012

Good morning.  Sorry about not posting yesterday, but the Mrs was awake when I got to work, and she was not going back to sleep.  This was to be her very grumpy day, and she was demanding her breakfast immediately.  Okie dokie, this is going to be a very fun day.  Once I got her settled with her breakfast, I turned on my laptop only to find that there was no internet connection.  So be it.

All this came after a rather sleepless night.    When I got home from work, I took Pogo out for a short walk in the grass, and then we both turned in for a nap.  Ahhh, blessed sleep.  I wonder why it is that sleeps comes so easily in the daytime?

While Pogo and I were out in the yard, I took some photos of a tiny butterfly that was visiting my bushes.

He's a rather angry looking chap, isn't he?  Or maybe he's just wondering why I'm pointing my camera at him?  Well, either way, he is very pretty.  I find it interesting how butterfly wing patterns can be so similar yet so very different.  There were a couple other butterflies fluttering nearby and they all looked pretty much the same.

This past week I did not work on any new photo art projects.  Actually, I did not work on much of anything.  It's been a really blah week.  I think all the heat and mugginess finally got to me.  This week coming is supposed to be in the 70's and quite comfortable, so maybe the creative juices will start running again.

It's almost noon, so I think I'll go see what's for lunch.  Then Pogo and I can go outside in the yard for a while to enjoy this great weather.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Amazing how the weather affects us. I woke up sad. I don't know why, I've just been blue all day. At least I'm a lighter shade of blue now, but it's just not me. It's cloudy and gloomy out! I hope the nicer weather is more inspiring for you!

The little butterfly looks like it will get bigger; it's body is almost bigger than its wings!

Have a happy day!
Hugs, Nani

I did miss you yesterday, but I sure know what it is like to turn on the computer and have no internet ... seems like it is happening more often than ever these days. It is frustrating particularly when you want to post something timely.

Your butterfly looks like a good MOM subject. You wouldn't even have to do anything to her, she is loaded with orange. There see, you were being creative in spite of the muggy weather.

Thanks for your comment on Cat Thursday. I do have fun with my pets ... all of them. Each in a different way, but they are all a joy. I will have to say though, that Diva has a knack for making all of us laugh.

I am working an agility trial this weekend. Izzi isn't running so I am doing the timing ... oh my, you would think it would be easy, but not for an old poop. I have to think about too many things at the same time and then there are always people asking questions or just talking next to you so it is hard to concentrate. It is a good experience ... I will never doubt the timers in future trials again.
Hope your weather comes through for you and you feel up to being creative. You put out some awesome pictures and I always look forward to them. Have a great rest of your weekend Edna ...

I was struggling about this time last week also. For me it's always difficult when the full moon is rising, I just get a case of the blues.
