A Freebie For You

August 2, 2012

Good morning.  I'm not sure what the day's weather will bring.  It's always a surprise.  Pogo and I have already been outside twice this morning, and all he did was stand in the wet grass and shake.  While he was not doing this thing, I got bit on the foot by some sort of bug.  Go figure!

It would be so much easier if he would just use the wee pads.  Then he (and I) wouldn't have to go out in the rain and cold.  I'm not the best doggie potty trainer though.  This is going to be quite an experience.   I'm thinking of buying some indoor/outdoor carpet and putting it on the wee pads.  Think it will work?

Yesterday, I put my coffee mug beside Pogo (I had finished drinking the coffee) and took a photo.  You can see how tiny he is.

Last week while I was at the supermarket parking lot, I spotted another unusual license plate.  Some of these are just too funny.   I wonder what made the owner pick this for his plate?

Last night, I worked on a QP Challenge for DigiScrapStation.  They provided a kit "Summer Sunshine" that was made by Gail Cook, and you get the QP freebie.  They require the QP to be 8x8, but I've also made it as 12x12, and posted both links.

Now it's time to start thinking about breakfast.  Meal time seems to be a favorite of Pogo's.  Yesterday, he started dancing around the kitchen when he saw me getting ready to prepare food.  Gosh, he's such a character!  He also does not like the dog food that the adoption agency folks said he likes.  Newman's organic dog food.  It's so smushy and unappetizing looking, I don't blame him.

Yesterday morning, I made scrambled eggs and crumbled tiny bits of bacon in it.  (for Pogo)  There wasn't even a sniff left on his plate when he finished with it.  Today though, I  think I'll give him Ceasar's dog food for breakfast.   He really should have some dog food in his diet.  (He doesn't exactly agree with me on that note.)

Before I go, I want to give you Su's new website address.  Do check it out.  She's going to be posting lots of tutorials for working with Photoshop.  You can visit her at:  http://suruha.com

Enough of my chatter.  I'm off now to start my day.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Pogo is adorable! I hope you and he have many happy years together; they are such good company! Yorkies have been my favorite pets, and my two girls were with me for 14 and 16 years; both went to doggie heaven this spring. I now have a male Yorkie-Poodle mix and am going through the house-training again like you. Good luck, and they are so worth every minute of it! Hugs!

Our Baggle liked people food more than cat food too, which is why it was Light cat food! After he passed we switched to regular food because the girls didn't have a weight issue, but they preferred the Light, so we switched back. Typical girls worried about their figures, huh? Carla tries people food and likes to lick a plate on occasion, but Kaline likes lunch meat or asiago cheese and other than that, isn't impressed with people food. Go figure! My aunt has a tiny dog similar to Pogo and she won't touch dog food. They have to buy rotisserie chickens and freeze the meat as her food!

I visited Su’s new place; very nice! I’m going to go back and read some more

Hugs, Nani

Be careful, Edna, that Pogo isn;t taking over LOL!
About his potty training, perhaps you can use a litter box? Keeps the house pretty clean and you'll don;t have to go outside.
But to be honest... I think best is to let him do all his needs outside, but I agree with him, it's no fun when it's all wet and cold outside LOL
And don;t feed him too much "people"stuff!!! I know, you;re heart is soft and melts(I am that kind too!) but best is to let him get used to soft and juicy doggie food.
Oh my, hear me, teacher Kyra ROFL.
One thing is for sure: Pogo keeps you busy, and that's a good thing!
Have a wonderful weekend
Hug
Kyra
