Welcome Amelia. Happy Birthday!

July 14, 2012

Good morning.  I'm late posting because I've been trying to figure out how to send a picture from a text message on my phone to my computer email.  I never did figure out how to do it, but Deanne figured out how to do it from her phone.  So now I am a happy camper again.

Why was this such an important thing to do?  Well let tell you before my bubble bursts.  Very early this morning, great grandbaby number 6 arrived.  Oh my, what a beautiful little girl Miss Amelia is.

This little lady took her sweet time getting here, but she was surely worth it.  I guess you could say that this is one of the perks of your golden years.  Several years ago, when my first great grandchild was born, we took a four generation photo.  Hmmmm, who knows?  Maybe the future will bring me a five generation photo too.  Now that would be nice!

Update on my bite, it's looking a bit gloomy.  The stuff is spreading with bite welts popping up everywhere.  Maybe it has to do this before it can go away.  I don't know, but come Monday morning I will be calling my doctor to see what we do next.  Unless it gets a lot worse, then I will visit the ER.

I downloaded some photos of a fisher cat from Google to show you what they look like.  This first photo had no author's name listed.

This next photo listed wearewag.org as the photo's owner.

And finally, this last photo also did not list an owner.

I have to admit, this is a beautiful animal.  Beautiful, but not something I would want to run into when it is angry.  I also don't like the  idea of it living in my yard.  I did find a phone number online of the local Division of Fisheries and Wildlife.  I'm going to call them to see if there is a better way to catch and re-locate this critter.

Now I really must get a move on here.  Deanne and Eddie will be here soon to teach me (once again) how to move photos from my text messages over to my photo gallery on this magnificent piece of technology called a smart phone.  Do you suppose I'll ever get the hang of it?  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

What a beautiful new baby. Humans start out so adorable, don't they? I wondered if that was the animal you were referring to. I've only heard of it as a fisher but they do seem somewhat cat-like. I've heard tales of destruction in koi ponds (very expensive sushi!).

Congratulations on your new great granddaughter, she is gorgeous!

Those photos are nothing like I imagined a fisher cat to be. I don't think I would like one prowling around my garden.

What a beautiful child and a blessed Great Grandmother ... Congratulations! By all means a perk of getting old :), though I am old and have only one Grandchild. I guess I have fallen behind.

Thank you for posting the pictures of the Fisher cat. I had never heard of it ... is it strictly local or can they be found all around. Anyway, yes beautiful, but probably, like you said, not something you want hanging out in your back yard.

I am very concerned about your spider bite. If it is a Brown Recluse bite you need to go to the ER. I am suggesting you go even if you don't know, they can be very serious bites and need to be attended to. I hope it isn't something serious, but better safe than sorry ... this has been going on for awhile, just sayin'.

Be well ...

Now that's nice news to read in the morning.
And I agree with Andrea, you should go to ER anyway. IThis bite bothered you long enough. Cannot be careful enough.!
Rake care.
