I Thought I Saw The Sun Peeking Out

June 6, 2012

Good morning.  I see Blogger has been busy lately making more changes.  It took me a few minutes to  figure out how to get to the "new post" place.  I swear, the designers at Blogger must have early morning meetings every day to figure out new ways to torment their users.

I think the sun is trying extra hard to shine a bit on us this morning.  Every now and then it peeks out from behind the clouds.  I guess getting a glimpse of Venus is out of the question.  Hopefully, some of you got to see it.

While we're dealing with our gloomy wet weather, New Zealanders woke up to a snow storm and power outages.  The weather man made a couple references to snow here in the U.S., but so far, I haven't heard where this snow might be.

Have any of you noticed?  In two weeks, it will be Summer already.  How did this happen?  We don't even have our Spring plants in the ground yet.  It's beginning to look like we might not be growing any veggies this year.

Today, Tootsie and I have to do a bit of shopping.  We've run out of bird seed and doggie treats, and this just won't do.  I know there's a couple more things that I need to pick up, but I've forgotten what they are so they will have to wait for another shopping trip.  Forgetting things is another perk of the "golden years".   I used to be so good at multi tasking, but now I have trouble remembering why I go from one spot to another.

How about a couple of freebies?  Last night I played a bit with some Dover designs and made a set of "Blue QP's"  for you.  I hope you can use them.

And here is your download link:

EXPIRED

By now, you've most likely noticed that I like to leave most of my QP's without a lot of adornment.  This is so that you can add a few elements or journaling of your own.  With a busy background like these, just put some "outer glow" around your text (in Photoshop, etc) and it will show up quite nicely.

Now I think I'll see about rustling up some bacon and eggs for Tootsie and me.  Mmmm, that does sound good.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.

I tried to see Venus; all I got for my trouble was a temporary retina burn. :P

You definitely must get shopping if Tootsie is out of treats! We can be out of milk, eggs and flour for days, but one night without kitty treats is the end of the world here! LOL

The quick pages are lovely! I stack them with other papers sometimes, They make great "starters" like the "Clutter It" Challenge at The Studio. A good quick page really gets the creative juices flowing!

Hope that sun keeps trying to shine for you!

Hugs, Nani

I agree with you about Blogger. Grrrr why do they have to change something that works very well for the computer illiterates like me. I think it's some computer nerd trying to justify their position within the company.

Now I gotta go and figure out how to post photos with my blog, they're there in the draft but not when I hit publish.

Love the QP's.

I have to admit that sometimes I too forget what I need to shop for. When it's really a lot, I do write it dopwn on a little list, but then I forget to take the list with me, or.I take it with me and forget I have it in my pocket LOL!
Your quickpages are so lovely!
Oh, and when did Blogger change again ? I didn;t notice it yet. I get crazy about that. When I finally got the hang of their last changes, they come with new. Hate that, don;t they think at all of the poor people, who aren;t so very techy with that all????
Hmmm, we will figure it out I guess, some day.
Happy day, hopefully with a bit of nice weather!
Hugs
Kyra
