Rainbow Eggs

April 10, 2012

Good morning.  At the moment, the sun is shining, but there is some rain lurking in the background. So says the weatherman.  The temps are supposed to hit the low 60's today.  I  love it!

I have a photo of my daughter Deanne's Easter eggs.  This year instead of coloring the eggs, she made deviled eggs and colored the egg yolks.  Doesn't this look tasty?

Audrey sent me photos of her little dog Moon.  He was named for the markings on his chest, and is so energetic.  He's always thinking of new ways to get into mischief, but underneath he's very kissy and hugable.  Isn't he just a cutie?

I have a rather different photo of that little pond that I pass on my way home from work.  This is what it looks like when the sun is rising.  I think that the bokeh in the foreground is from the sun hitting my lens, as I was looking into the sun.  However, I rather like this photo.

Last, but not least, I have a photo of some pretty blue flowers that are blooming in the Mrs' front yard.  I do not know their name, so if any of you does know it please leave me a comment.

Today, Eddie is going to stop by and try to fix my smart phone.  I updated the minutes on it, and now it says I can't use it because I don't have any minutes left.  What?  And they call this a "smart phone"?     I dunno.  Sometimes this new technology boggles my mind.

I think Wayne might be coming by tonight with my PC, so I need to give him a call and let him know that I have to work tonight.  Maybe he can bring it tomorrow or Thursday.    Speaking of Wayne, here is a photo of him in Paris with Notre Dame in the background.  He says that Paris is just beautiful.

That's all the news for this morning.  It's time to stuff this cute little body into some clothes and maybe do some laundry.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I think the flower’s a bluebell!

I love the Easter Eggs! I make Easter Egg Salad, which is blue egg salad, so I totally appreciate the festive look!
Moon IS a cutie!

Need to get going on the White Tornado part of the day. I hope to blog this afternoon. :)

Edna, I am fairly certain that the flowers are grape hyacinth -- they are grown from bulbs planted to bloom in early spring. There is also a less common variety that is white. They will multiply 0ver the years. The best way to plant is to naturalize -- toss a small handful in the air ad then plant them where they fall rather than in rows or evenly spaced.Wish I were there to see your flowers that bloom in the spring -- tra-la !!!!

What a nice idea to fill the eggs in colors!
The bokeh on your pond picture makes it dreamy!
The little blue flowers are Grape Hyacints, I have a link for you where you can read more about them.

I like all colors in flowers, but blue has something special!
Have a great day

Those are grape hyacinth. I love the colorful egg centers, what a great way to add some color and excitement.
