Groan, Groan, It's Spring Cleaning Time!

March 21, 2012

Good morning.  Well, Tootsie and I thought we might sleep very late this morning, but nope!  Well, we got up earlier to do Tootsie's meds, then went back to bed.  But then the phone rang, so now we're up.  It's good too because we have so much to do on this warm and sunny day..

The cable company managed to screw up my cable service so badly, and our new converter boxes did not work all day or night.  Eddie will be here in a little while to go with me to the cable company to raise a bit of hell.  I guess we just weren't loud enough the other day.

This is when a monopoly is not a good thing.  If we had more choices in cable companies, we probably would have less problems and lower bills.  Actually, it's kind of sad to think how our time can be evolved around TV programs.  I know the day by what is scheduled to play on TV.  Yup, sad!

I did start cleaning out my little computer room yesterday.  Sad to say, this room will be keep me busy for a while.  I have to go through every piece of paper, etc.  I used to print out a lot of stuff that had to do with my computer programs.  However now a lot of that stuff is old and of no use anymore.

Now, I can do a really good job of cluttering all by myself, but my late hubby did an even better job.  He did not throw very much out.  We might need it some day.  So between us, we managed to save quite a lot of stuff.  So I'm thinking that between the little computer room and the back room, I will be busy all through the Spring and Summer.

Yesterday afternoon, Tootsie and I took a break to walk around the yard and check out what is coming up for flowers.  I'm delighted to say that the daffodils will be open soon.

Here's a photo of Tootsie checking some of the plants that are near the shed.  I'm hoping that my lilacs come up this year.  I planted them last year, but by Fall, they weren't looking so good.

That's all the news for this morning.  Eddie will be here soon, and I want to be ready to leave when he gets here.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a magnificent day.

Hugs, Edna B.

The red and white stripes look so sweet with Tootsie’s white fur!

Maybe I should let you have the “White Tornado” name and I’ll use “White Hurricane?” :) I have a lot of shredding of old papers to do too. David and I are both pack rats and when we cleaned up at Grandma’s, I discovered I come from a long line of pack rats! Grandma had the income tax forms from 1958! I have them from the 90s and those will be going to the shredder. I’ breaking the cycle…or anyway, trying to!

Mmm... Now see, almost blooming is where daffodils belong, not already bloomed a week ago! Stupid no-show snow.

Show the cable company no mercy! Hope they get their act together for you.

Enjoy the beautiful day!

Hugs, Nani

Spring housecleaning is so refreshing. It's that renewal of life and another year of promise.

Well, good luck with your computer room cleaning LOL!
I too had ( and still have) a lot of paperwork, things from my parents and from that terrible heritance fight with my family(all the things from the lawyers etc.) and by now I could get rid of it I think,
Here's another pack rat speaking.
But.... when you finally get rid of some stuff, it feels real good.
Oh damm those cable companies. And all companies with a kind of monopoly! Show them your teeth LOL!
