HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASMINE (two days later)

January 7, 2012

Good morning.  Today is supposed to reach 52 degrees.  I can totally dig it!  At the moment, it's only 30 degrees, but then it's not even 7 a.m. yet.  It will be daylight soon, and the weatherman is calling for partly cloudy skies.  This is good because I have some shopping to do this morning.

Yesterday's snow was all gone by mid morning, and the day turned out to be sunny and warm.  I wonder if I should plant my grass seed now.  I see a lot of yards with newly planted hydroseed.

Thursday was Jasmine's 12th birthday.  She is my youngest grandchild, and such a delightful beauty!  Happy Birthday, Jasmine.  May all your dreams come true.  Of course, I had to wait until yesterday to give her birthday wishes and a gift.  We have a little thing going, where I give her an extra dollar when I am late with her card.  She looks forward to the extra dollar, so I wait to be a day late.

Her brother Kevin brought me a present last night.  He saw this item and told his mom that he just had to get it for me.  He even used his own savings to buy it.  Want to see what he brought me?

My very own "Angry Bird".  The first thing I wanted downloaded to my smart phone was the game "Angry Bird".  I just think they are the cutest things!  Thank you so much Kevin.  You are a very special young man, and you really made my day fantastic.  I love you.

Speaking of Angry Bird, I finally can play this game on my smart phone.  Last night, I even sent a voice text.  Later today, I will attempt to make and take a phone call.  You never know, I just might learn to use this wicked thing that makes me feel so inadequate.  It would be nice because it has a GPS inside it that would be nice for when I am on vacation.

Blogger is having a bad hair day.  Every few sentences, it stops working and I have to wait a while before continuing on to type.  I guess this is my cue to finish my post.

I did order my newest blog book earlier this morning.  This will make four complete years of Miss Edna's Place in book form.   I also have a freebie for you.  This is a kit that I made for a forum last January.  I hope you can use it.

Here are your download links:
EXPIRED

That's all the news for today.  Don't forget, Su and I will begin posting our new January kit this coming Monday.  It's a fabulous kit and you'll want all twelve parts.  Now I'm off to whip up some breakfast.  Tootsie is waiting patiently for some scrambled eggs.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Glad to hear you're starting to make friends with your smart phone, Edna!

We have a red and a yellow Angry Bird in our house. They're angry because they get thrown around and live on the floor - they're filled with catnip! It was a late delivery from Santa Paws. (We searched for them after David heard about them, but couldn't hind them on Christmas Eve) They had catnip mice in their stockings, but they seem to like the Angry Birds better. Kids and fads! :)

Happy Birthday to Jasmine and yay for another extra dollar!

Thanks for the freebie kit. I have an idea of a page I can use it for. I'll be sure to post it when I do it! This is a scrap day for me today. I do feel much better, but decided I'd take the extra rest day anyway, well, I'll try!

Have a great rest of the day and enjoy the warmer temps while we've got em!

Hugs, Nani

Look at you go with your voice commands on the smart phone. I haven't even started to think about tackling that yet.

What a great present you got. I just LOVE that Angry Bird LOL!
It's nice, isn;t it, when you receive a totally unexpected little gift?
I don;t know if it will be the right time to seed the grass. Weather can play still mean tricks with us in February and March.
And yeah for you tackling your smartphone! I am sure you will learn to use it all the way!
