It's Too Early For Tricks!

October 28, 2011

Good morning!  Mother Nature was busy during the night playing early Halloween tricks on us.  I should have looked out the window about twenty minutes before leaving for work this morning because I'd have found that my car was covered with snow and ice.  Needless to say, I was a little bit late for work this morning because it took a while to clear all my windows.

Weather is funny, though.  At the moment, the sun is shining brightly and some of the snow is beginning to melt.  Don't get excited though!  Later today, the temps will go down into the COLD COLD zone and stay there for a while.  Who knows how long.

I took a moment to run outside and get a few photos of this first snowfall.  Not so much the snow, but how the flowers are coping with it.

Here's a shot of the scarescrow and pumpkins next door.  Luckily, a huge tree in the front yard protected them from being covered with very much snow.

I spent yesterday afternoon going over my photo class lessons to get caught up.  I'm only one lesson behind.  Actually, I did the lesson but I haven't posted it yet.  My bad!  I need to buckle down though because I like to stay ahead of the assignments.  I also need to finish up my part of the new collab kit for November.  Today, if the Mrs has a nap, I have one of my new camera books with me to study.

Now I want to do a bit of blog reading before the Mrs awakes and wants her breakfast.  Till tomorrow, Y'all stay warm and have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Oh no! Not frost on the pumpkins!
I guess it's to be expected...that's why we make the Halloween costumes to fit over a winter coat.

:( Edna, didn't you get enough of that white stuff LAST winter???

The photos are pretty, in a surreal, bone-chilling way. Stay warm and safe, my friend!
