Another Busy Day Here

October 24, 2011

It's quite cool outside this morning, but at least the sun is shining so we can hope that it will warm up soon.  According to the weatherman, it's supposed to get up to about 60 degrees F.  Today and tomorrow look to be our last couple of days at this temperature.  Then it gets colder, colder, colder. Brrrrr!

The furnace clean out man is here working on the burner.  After this, we shall have heat.  Yeahhhhh!  Much as I hate the fuel bills for  the next seven months, I hate a cold house even more.  I guess this is the price for living in beautiful New England.

This must be my year for "stupid"!  Last night after the Mrs went to bed, I turned on my laptop and had a wonderful time designing.  I was having such a good time, that I did not notice the little battery icon that was showing very very low.  I was just getting ready to save what I was working on when my laptop went black.  Dead like doorknob!!  For the life of me, I could not figure out my problem.  But then a bell went off in my brain and I realized that my battery had gone dead.

I looked into my carry bag to get the charger cord, and yup!  You got it!  It wasn't there.  It was back at home sitting on the chair where I had set it while I was packing my work bag.  DUH!  This week, I am going to buy me an extra cord and leave it in my bag.  This will not happen again!

This morning I took a couple of photos as I was leaving work.  The first photo is to show the sun rising behind the trees across the street.  And the second photo shows the frost on the barn roof.  Frost already!!  My car windows were frosted over too.  If I say so myself, it was just a tad bit too cool!!

Well, the burner man has just finished up and Son in Law has arrived to put up my new door.  I will leave you with a freebie as promised.  I call this QP "The Ghost Of Summer".  I hope you can use it.

Now I'm off to get busy here.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hi Edna,
Grmmmppff, why does our brains play such games with us, not ringing an alarm bell, when we forget to pack something in our bag???
I can imagine how you reacted, when your laptop wnet dead as a doornail and you didn't have the battery charger.
Good idea to have an extra one.
Hoorray, you can warm up your house again. Specially in the evenings and early mornings when the temps are sometimes too low.
How's Tootsie these days? Surely hope she's feeling better and stays that way too!
Have a great day, stay warm!
Hugs
Kyra
