Honk! Honk!

August 19, 2011

Good morning.  It's back to work for me.  My work week starts on Friday and ends on Monday.  Usually.  Unless, of course, we make some shift switches.  I'm thinking though, that I might like to make a permanent switch at least once a month so that I can have a weekend night off.  I'll have to think about this.

Yesterday, I started burning a lot of my photo files to disk because my laptop hard drive is getting too full.  I suppose I should have been doing this right along, but I keep the photos on my PC because then they are handy to use.  I know, not a smart reason.

Today, I'm sharing photos of one of the geese from the park.  These critters can be very vocal and noisy, especially when another goose gets too close to their partner.  Even so, they are quite beautiful.

I started reading some of the materials that my friend Mary Ann sent to me, and boy oh boy, I have so much to learn!  I read for a few hours, then I had to stop to see if I could process a lot of the information.  This is going to keep me busy for quite a long time.

I also made a new layout of my granddaughter Jazzy.  This little lady just loves to cook, and sent me a photo of herself cooking a batch of summer squash that I had sent over.

The Mrs. has awakened so it's time for me to get to work here.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Your g-daughter is gorgeous! Yumm! Summer squash!

I hear geese can be mean! I wouldn't want to tangle with those guys! LOL

I'm confused. Did you work Thursday night, or are you there today? I was trying to figure it out. LOL I was gonna see if you were working tonight. We could 'converse'.

Sarah AND the children have been home all week. It is her vacation, so, she keeps the children home? It's been crazy! LOL

Hope to chat with you later.

Hugs,
Su

Miss Edna.... Two comments...1) having had worked mid nights on the PD for a sginificant number of years, I highly suggest you try to get some weekend nights off. 2) Rather than spend the amount of time it would take to burn your pics to discs, you should seriously consider purchasing an external hard drive. There are 1tb drives available that are not cost prohibitive. I enjoy the posts and often times mesmerized by the photos!

Nice photos. It is a lot of work processing, sorting and storing them. I agree with the other comment about an external hard drive, makes things go much quicker.

Reading the advice you get about an external HD, I think I should have one too. I do burn my scrap resources and kits on discs, but specially the resources are growing and growing LOL! And it is much easier to have them on hard drive. Hmmm, it would be worth the money.
Yeah, do try to have a switch working hours, it is nice to have at least one weekend of free time.
Good idea!
Have a lovely day
