The Parades Will Be Starting Today

July 3, 2011

Good morning.  Well, the noise and the fireworks have started.  So far, they are mostly backyard fireworks.  A lot of cities and towns will have their fireworks and parades today and tomorrow.  Alas, I have to work again tonight.  I was so hoping to have a try at photographing fireworks this year.  We'll see.  Maybe tomorrow night if I'm not tucked into my little bed early.

It's not quite 6:30 a.m. and I'll be leaving soon to go home.  Last night, after the Mrs. went to bed, I did a bit of window shopping on the internet.  Actually, it was all window shopping and making up new wish lists.  I drooled over a few beautiful, but very expensive lenses, and a super duper point and shoot camera.  I will probably never actually buy any of these, but it sure was fun.

Friday, I watched a little red squirrel who managed to climb up on the roof here at work.  He was so entertaining that I had to take a few photos.

This next photo isn't the greatest, but I had to include it to show how persistent this little guy was.

This little guy is such a pesky little devil, and NOISY too!!  But, he is so darn cute to watch and photograph.  Before he runs away, he will sit and pose, and try to look so pathetic to make sure you are not going to hurt him.  As if I would!!!

Well, now it's time for me to pack up and get ready to leave.  My little girl is waiting for me at home.  Till tomorrow, and the first two parts of  "From Sea To Shing Sea,"  Y'all have a fantastic day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Aren't they fun! We have chipmunks now and I can't wait to get caught up on everything and spend some time with the camera.
