"From Sea To Shining Sea"

July 5, 2011

It's still a bit gray outside, but then it's only 6:30 a.m.  My little girl decided that we should get up early this morning.  I guess that extra long nap that I took yesterday afternoon and last night was just a bit too much sleep for her.  I did stay up long enough to do some laundry and a couple of other small things.

How about some more Trivia?  1 - Where did Rowan and Martin's "Laugh In" come to you from?  2 - What Broadway role of Lloyd Nolan did Humphrey Bogart recreate on screen?  3 - Which of the 25 people jailed in connection with Watergate was the last to be freed on January 19, 1979?

I came across a new flower in the Mrs' garden, and had to do a bit of research to find out what it is called.  Have you ever seen a Tragopogon?  This was my first time, and I found it to be quite interesting.  It looks like a seeded dandelion, but it is three fee tall and almost four inches across.

I also have a great storm photo taken by my son in law, Mac.  I believe this was taken soon after the tornadoes had devastated some of our central states.

Now I think it's time to post the first two parts of our new July collab kit, "From Sea To Shining Sea."  This is a great kit for scrapping all your summer vacation photos.  Here is my preview and the downlink.

Here is your download link: EXPIRED

When you have finished downloading, hop on over to Miss Su's blog and pick up her parts.  Don't forget to take a moment to say thank you.  Here is her preview.

I'm watching news about a brand new oil spill, this one in the Yellowstone River in Montana.  Exxon had been warned several times in the past that this particular pipeline was in trouble, but Exxon decided that the pipeline was okay and nothing was done about it.  So now I guess the big guys at the oil company have another excuse to raise the price of gas.  Got to pay for the clean up!!!

Oh dear, don't let me get started on this one!!  I think I'll make another cup of coffee and think about what sort of mischief I can get into today.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Answers to Trivia:  1 - Beautiful downtown Burbank,  2 - Captain Queeg,  3 - John Mitchell.

Lovely QP's in your kit. I suppose you used some of your own great pictures.
Don't have too much time to linger, cause have to go to doctor for checkup appointment. Oh, well, his practise is just 2 minutes away.
Have a fantastic day!
Hugs
Kyra
