Time To Get OutThe Umbrellas And Canoes

February 5, 2011

Good morning. Outside my window, it's rather drab and gray. We are expecting lots of rain today and tonight. Imagine the huge puddles (more like ponds!) we'll have everywhere. It might help to get rid of some of the snow, but the water has to go somewhere. Hopefully, not in my basement. We do have a sump pump down there, but I may have to pick up a second one.

Tootsie and I got up very early this morning, so I did a bit of catching up on blog hopping and my emails. I also made some new color swatches from pictures and art that I found on the web. This is the most fun way for me to come up with new color palettes.

There's not much news today, so I'll share some more of the photos that I took yesterday while I was at work. These little Juncos are just so cute, and not quite as skittish as the other little birds when they see me in the window with my camera. As long as I stand still, they don't feel threatened and fly off.

That's about it for this morning. How about a freebie? Here's a QP that I made for the January freebie downloads at the MS forum. I thought those of you who did not pick it up there might like to have it. The theme was "Enchanted Winter."

Now I think I'll rustle up a bit of breakfast for Miss Tootsie and me. A chicken chewy for her, and maybe toasted muffins for me. Mmmmmm, yummy! Till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.

I had an apple scone with ham and a cup of Verona coffee. David always makes sure I have my Verona to start off the year in my Christmas stocking! It's still early and I'm the only one awake. Kaline was here for a while, but now I think all the kids are up sleeping with Daddy! hehe

I always enjoy your photos! I hope the rain isn't too overboard. Gee, you guys and gals in the East have just gotten punishjed this winter! Really, having to dig my car out westerday was so nothing compared to what you have had to deal with!

I'll say a prayer for "controlled water" for you, no flooding! Try to say warm and dry!
