HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAURA JEAN

November 4, 2009

Today is already a fantastic day, and it has just begun. Before I tell you about all the fun I have been having, I want to wish a special little gal a fantastically happy day. Laura Jean is my youngest child and is one of God's special children. When she was 6 months old, the doctors sent her home from the hospital saying "Enjoy her, she probably has only hours to live. We did, an still do, enjoy her. Today she is 44 years old. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAURA JEAN.

I want to thank all of you for your wonderful Birthday wishes. This was not a birthday that I was looking forward to, but you have managed to turn it into a fantastic, magical day. Snow Raven and Kyra, what would I do without you? You are the best friends a girl could have!! This morning I visited both your blogs, and now I will walk on happy clouds all day.

Later this morning, Audrey and Tootsie and I will go shopping. Oh boy!! Let us gals loose in a craft supply shop and OH BOY!!! Their shopping bags aren't big enough to hold all the goodies we want to fill them with. BUT! We will try to stuff them with lots of good stuff.

Yesterday, a box came in the mail. Moo brought it in and said "Look at this. You have a package from Holland." I opened it and saw a card and wrapped packages, so Audrey insisted that I save it for today. Begrudgingly, I said "OK" and set the box down beside the coffee table.

A few minutes later, Tootsie was going crazy trying to get into that box. She took out the envelope and set it aside, and kept working to get one of the wrapped gifts out. Finally, she managed to get a package out and promptly pushed it under the coffee table so no one could get it. Unfortunately, neither could she. I moved the table a bit, and she grabbed the package and set about trying to open it.

This was so amazing because Tootsie does not ever get excited about packages or doggie cookies. But she managed to get both the package and the bag of cookies marked "For Tootsie" opened. Then she reached in and picked out a cookie and ate it. She kept this up until all the cookies were gone. I decided not to stop her, because she was getting ferocious if we tried to take away her bag of cookies. I must say, my little Tootsie had a most wonderful time with that gift.

Of course, by now I am going to see what else is in the box. Oh my! Lots of goodies for me to play with, and some wonderful music to listen to while I play. There was a beautiful little flower plaque that I am going to hang up today, and I think the biggest card I ever received. Kyra, my friend, what a special memorable day you have given to me. Thank you so very much.

I took some photos of Tootsie with her little package that I will share with you. It was such a joy to watch her having so much fun.

Yesterday I did some searching in my bird books, and Mary Ann, I believe that the bird I showed two days ago is a Northern Mockingbird. (At least I am pretty sure it is) Also, to Nani, thank you for that good advice. I found a few remedies that I want to discuss with Tootsie's doctor, and hopefully that little problem can be tended to.

Now I am going to look up Kyra's computer spell to see if I can work some magic on this PC of mine, and it's time now to make another cup of coffee, and maybe cook a bit of breakfast. Thank you all again for your good wishes. Y'all have a marvelous day now.

Hugs, Edna B.
