New Kit - "Praying For A Cure"

November 12, 2008

Well, I got my flu shot early this morning, then stopped to pick up a Christmas gift on my way home. Next came a trip to the post office to send a package to my granddaughter in Florida. After that, I got busy zipping up the new kit, and getting links. Yes, I will post the first part today. There are three parts, 2 papers and 1 elements.

What's it about? It's about raising the awareness to finding a cure for cancer. Cancer is an ugly disease, and it doesn't care who it hurts. Some very special people in my life have been fighting this disease for quite a while. Some are gone now, and some are surviving.

Today's new layout, which I made using the new kit, will feature two of our family members who are fighting and surviving cancer; my sister in law, Edie, and my brother Artie. They are both very dear to me.

I know this is a tough subject, but it is one that most of us will have to face at some point in our life. So I thought that by making this kit, it would help to scrap some of your beautiful memories. I do plan to make an add on kit to go with this one sometime soon, an dwill try to incorporate all of the colored ribbons that go with the different kinds of cancer. If you have any special request, please let me know.

Tootsie's doctor just called to see how she was doing, and to let me know that the test results are not back yet. Aside from not eating very well, Tootsie is fairly perky (still plays ball). I just don't like the looks of that nasty lump. It doesn't seem to have gotten any smaller.

It's time now for me to start helping with dinner. Daughter in law is here, and Moo is busy cooking. Have a great night.

Hugs, Edna B.
